How to clean a suede jacket?

Clean a suede jacket dry: brush it along the nap with a soft suede brush after wear, and lift light marks with a suede eraser. Leave stains and a full clean to a professional leather cleaner, and never put suede in water or a washing machine.

Can suede get wet?

Suede takes up water readily, and water can leave marks and stiffen the nap, so it is best kept for dry days. If it does get wet, let it dry fully somewhere cool and airy, away from direct heat, then brush the nap lightly.
