1 | Before You Order — Personalized Fit Check

We’d rather prevent a return than process one.

Select "ADD SIZE" and share your bust, waist, hips, height, and weight in your cart notes before checkout — mention any fit requests (for example, “slightly oversized”).

Our team personally reviews every order and reaches out if anything seems off.

Better fit for you. Fewer unnecessary shipments. A smaller footprint for us all.


2 | U.S. Returns — Complimentary with Protected Checkout

We’ve partnered with Redo to offer free U.S. returns and exchanges for customers who selected Protected Checkout at purchase.

Didn’t select Redo? You can still return your item — the return-label cost will simply be deducted from your refund.

Key details:

  • Initiate within 14 days of delivery

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original packaging


3 | International Returns

We gladly accept returns from around the world.
Shipping is not included; please use your preferred carrier and clearly mark the parcel:

“Return – No Commercial Value”

For the smoothest experience, we recommend using our Personalized Fit Check (Section 1) before ordering.


4 | Exchanges & Refunds

Need a new size or color right away?
Place a new order and return the original — most replacements arrive before the first parcel is back in our hands.

Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days of inspection.


5 | Damaged, Defective, or Simply Not Right

Every Aelse piece is checked by hand before it leaves our studio.
But if yours arrives flawed — or simply not as expected — we’ll make it right.

If you selected Protected Checkout (Redo):
Start your return anytime through the Returns Portal →.
You can choose a refund, exchange, or replacement directly — no emails, no delay.

Our concierge team will review the issue and find the best solution for you — whether that’s a prepaid return label, a free replacement, or another option that feels fair and simple.

Whichever path you choose, we’ll handle it with the same care we put into every stitch.


6 | Return Eligibility

To be accepted, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • In original packaging or Aelse return pouch

  • Shipped within 14 days of delivery or return approval


7 | Final-Sale & Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and ethical reasons, the following are final sale unless damaged:

  • Custom or made-to-order pieces (such as Kente Jackets supporting design education & medical aid programs)

  • Oversized artisan items (for example: Riad Chairs, Antique Centennial Rugs — we’re happy to share extra photos, measurements, or provenance before purchase)

  • Cosmetics and skincare
